“It doesn’t happen like….” Abdul Razzaq Noteworthy Comment On Hosting Venue Of Asia Cup 2023

Currently, the Asia Cup 2023 hosting is the biggest news in the cricket fraternity. Pakistan has hosting rights for the Asia Cup 2023, but BCCI secretary Jay Shah proposed to change the venue of the Asia Cup because the Indian team will not travel to Pakistan for security reasons.

On Sunday, Asian Cricket Council (ACC) held a meeting in which India’s representative Jay Shah made his stance and said the Indian team would not feature in the Asia Cup 2023 if it took place in Pakistan.

Further Asian Cricket Council suggested changing the venue of the Asia Cup 2023 from Pakistan to UAE/Sri Lanka. After which the war of words is going on between both nation’s cricketers.

Joining the same pitch, former Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq explained that it would be good for cricket if the Asia Cup shifted to Dubai because the India-Pakistan game only happens in the ICC tournament.

“It’s good for cricket and for cricket promotion. India-Pakistan games only happen in ICC tournaments. If Asia Cup has been shifted to Dubai, it’s the best option. It’s good for cricket and cricketers,” Razzaq said to a new house.

The former Pakistani cricketer was asked whether India should host this marquee tournament. Replying to this, he shared a remarkable statement in which he added that the board should solve this issue by sitting at a table.

“It doesn’t happen like this. This has been on for years. It would be great if the two boards sat across the table and chatted. Both boards should solve this issue,” Razzaq further added.

Earlier, the hosting rights of the upcoming Asia Cup 2023 were allotted to Pakistan. But now, after the interruption of BCCI Asian Cricket Council decided to move the Asia Cup 2023 to Sri Lanka or UAE. The final report on this will be declared in March.
