“Isse zyada main kuch nahi bolunga, baaki samajhdaar…”: MS Dhoni’s Reaction On India’s Chances Of Winning ODI World Cup 2023

India’s journey in the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 has been spectacular. At the time of writing, they stand as the sole team in the tournament to maintain an unbeaten record. With five games played and ten points to their name, they are positioned atop the points table. Their outstanding performance has positioned them as strong contenders to secure a spot in the semi-finals.

India’s cricketing legacy is studded with achievements, but when it comes to ICC titles, the wait has been long. The last time India clinched an ICC title was in 2013, when MS Dhoni was at the helm during the Champions Trophy. Rewind a bit further, and you’ll find India’s triumphant campaign in the ODI Cricket World Cup 2011, with Dhoni again leading from the front.

Known for his calm and composed demeanor on and off the field, MS Dhoni has seldom been vocal about his opinions. However, as the buzz around India’s ODI World Cup journey intensifies, he shared his thoughts on the team’s chances in a recent event.

Dhoni’s words were few but impactful. He described the current Indian cricket team as having “bohot accha balance,” or a very good balance, and praised the players for their performance.

He didn’t delve into lengthy discussions in his characteristic style, stating, “It’s a very good team. Bohot accha balance hai team ka. Harlog acha khel rahe hain (The team’s balance is extremely good. All the players are playing well). So everything is looking very good. Isse zyada main kuch nahi bolunga, baaki samajhdaar ko ishara kaafi hai (I won’t say anything more than this. For the wise, the signal is enough),” said MS Dhoni at an event on Thursday.
