Team India young wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan has finally made his return to competitive cricket. The star wicketkeeper has been out of action for the last three months.
Ishan Kishan is currently playing in the DY Patil tournament after team India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, advised the young keeper to play some cricket to make him eligible for team India’s selection.
In his return match, Ishan Kishan played the role of wicketkeeper batsman in RBI’s match against Route Mobile. The Ishan Kishan team also had Dhruv Shorey,Amit Mishra, Ankit Rajpoot, and Shahbaz Nadeem.
Earlier, India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, advised Ishan Kishan to play domestic cricket to make himself eligible for selection in international cricket. Ishan Kishan had earlier pulled out of South Africa’s tour, citing mental fatigue.
However, in his comeback innings, Ishan Kishan had a flop show with the bat as the southpaw scored 19 of 12 deliveries before getting out to Maxwell Swaminathan at mid off in the fourth over of the innings.
Apart from Ishan Kishan, India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandaya also made his cricket return with this tournament. The all-rounder picked up two wickets in his three overs and batted at number 10, taking his team home with a two-wicket victory over the opposition.
