Punjab pace bowler Harshal Patel has received the backing of Coach Sunil Joshi to bounce back in the remaining matches of the IPL.
Harshal Patel has so far had a middling IPL. The pace bowler has picked up three wickets in two matches but is leaking runs at 11.50 per over.
However, in spite of that, Sunil Joshi believes that Harshal Patel is going to be important for Punjab’s success in the upcoming matches.
Before Punjab’s next match against LSG, Joshi said, “When you go to take wickets, your mindset will be that the batsmen will take the chance, so we people give them that opportunity, so they have that option with them.”
Joshi further added, “It is just the start of the season; it is still too early to come to a conclusion, but he is working on his economy rate, and he is our main top wicket-taker when it comes to death overs, so when you are giving runs in the death, obviously you will look to take wickets also.”
Punjab Kings are currently placed at number five in the points table with two points in two matches.
