A source close to the developments mentioned that he might miss either the Test series or the eight-match white-ball series comprising three ODIs and five T20Is. The selectors will discuss with Rohit and decide based on his inputs and their assessment of his workload and form.

“Rohit looked a bit tired during the IPL and the World Test Championship final in England. The selectors want him to rest for part of the West Indies tour. He’s likely to miss the Tests or the eight-match white-ball series (three ODIs and five T20Is) to follow. The selectors will speak to Rohit and then take a decision.”
