IPL Final 2023: Check The Weather Report Of The Reserve Day With The Possible Playing XI Of CSK And GT

Unfortunately, the highly anticipated IPL 2023 final between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Gujarat Titans (GT) was postponed due to heavy rain in Ahmedabad on Sunday. As a result, a reserve day has been allocated to decide the fate of the championship match. This marks the first instance in IPL history where the final will be played on a reserve day, emphasizing the significance of the rain-induced interruption at the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.

Despite the Meteorological Department’s initial report stating no possibility of rain on Sunday, continuous showers persisted, causing a delayed start and eventually leading to the match being called off by the umpires. The much-awaited clash between CSK and GT is now rescheduled to begin at 7:30 PM on Monday, with the toss scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Reserve days are a rarity in cricket, and they are only implemented when a significant match cannot be conducted as scheduled due to adverse weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a reserve day is designated to ensure the completion of the match.

Fortunately, the weather forecast for Monday brings delightful news for fans and everyone involved in the smooth execution of the IPL 2023 final. As per the new weather report, there is a less than 10 percent chance of rain during the game time, which starts from 6 PM IST onwards. The temperature is expected to range from 37 to 32 degrees Celsius, with approximately 34 percent cloud cover. The wind speed is projected to be around 11 km/h.

While a reserve day has been scheduled for the final match, it is essential to acknowledge the possibility of further rain disruptions. If rain persists on the reserve day, resulting in no overs being bowled, GT will be the winner because they are the table topper.

Cricket enthusiasts and players alike eagerly await the outcome of the IPL 2023 championship. The postponement and subsequent rescheduling of the final have added an extra layer of anticipation, highlighting every moment’s significance and emphasizing the game’s unpredictable nature.
