IPL 2024 Update: Rishabh Pant to Lead Delhi Capitals, Anrich Nortje’s Return Confirmed by Parth Jindal

One of the biggest cricket carnivals, the IPL, is all set to start on March 22 as the defending champion Chennai Super Kings are going to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening encounter of the season.

However, at the start of the tournament, IPL franchise Delhi Capitals received a major boost as stylish wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is all set to lead the team in the upcoming season of the IPL, as confirmed by co-owner Parth Jindal.

Parth Jindal also stated that Rishabh Pant has also started to practice his wicketkeeping drills, but he will not keep wickets for the franchise for at least the first half of the season.

Prath said that whether Rishabh will keep wickets this season or not will be decided by the franchise after looking at his fitness and how his body reacts.

Parth Jindal also gave an update on South African speedster Anrich Nortje, saying that the South African pace sensation is fully fit and ready to go. Jindal said that he is quite optimistic that the 30-year-old pacer will be available for the entire duration of the IPL.

Jindal also gave some insights on their team’s strategy going into the IPL, saying that the franchise could use Harry Brook as a finisher in the lower middle order as England’s star can toss the ball long if needed.
