IPL 2024: ‘I Would Have Beaten Him’, Harbhajan Singh Jokingly Threatened To Beat Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw often gets out after working hard, leading to him being dropped from teams. Despite having impressive potential, the batter fails to dominate the bowlers. His habit of playing too many aggressive shots leads to his downfall. The same was seen in a recent IPL 2024 match between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.

Shaw started well and he seemed to be in good form where he scored 32 runs from 22 balls. However, he played a careless shot against Ravi Bishnoi and got caught by Nicholas Pooran. During this inning, he hit six fours with a strike rate of 145.45.

Meanwhile, the former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh was also very disappointed with the approach of Prithvi Shaw, and he jokingly asserted to beat Prithvi Shaw.

While talking to star Star Sports, the former Indian said, “What was he doing there? If I were at Delhi Capitals, I would have beaten him continuously. There was no need for that shot, and he put Delhi in trouble. When you are batting well, you should make it count, but Prithvi has this habit of going for reckless shots. This should have been avoided.”

However, it did not bring much difference in the chase by Delhi Capitals, and with the help of Fraser-McGurk’s 55 and Rishabh Pant’s 41, DC got the target of 168 runs in 18.1 overs at the loss of four wickets.
