IPL 2024 Auction: This Indian Pacer Got His Name In The Suspect Bowling Action List, Action To Be Taken Soon

In an unexpected development, the left-arm pacer from Saurashtra Chetan Sakariya has been included in the list of players with suspect bowling actions released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

However, the bowler has not been banned. The 25-year-old is among the seven players identified by the board for having a questionable bowling action.

The inclusion of Chetan Sakariya in the suspect list is generating questions, especially after he participated in 19 IPL matches and then played for India in one ODI and two T20Is. The specifics regarding when he was reported remain unclear. The officials from the Saurashtra Cricket Association have expressed their lack of awareness on the matter.

Chetan Sakariya has not been banned from bowling but the concern regarding him has been informed to everyone. Currently, the bowler is recovering from his back stress fracture. The bowler has been released from the Delhi Capitals during the player’s retention period.

Sakariya is not the only name on the suspect list. The other notable names in the list include Tanush Kotian, Rohan Kunnummal, Chirag Gandhi, Salman Nizar, Saurabh Dubey, and Arpit Guleria. Manish Pandey and KL Shrijith from the Karnataka State Cricket Association are currently going through the bowling bans.
