IPL 2023: Will MS Dhoni Sit Out In The Game Against RCB? CEO Kashi Vishwanathan Gives A Huge Update

Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen struggling on the field while running during the match against Rajasthan Royals at Chepauk. CSK will now face Royal Challengers Bangalore in their next match and the CEO of the franchise Kashi Vishwanathan has given a huge update on the availability of MS Dhoni.

These rumors arose due to concerns over Dhoni’s fitness, which were sparked by his struggles during CSK’s previous match against Rajasthan Royals. However, Vishwanathan has clarified that Dhoni is not injured and will be available to play in the next game.

MS Dhoni played a remarkable inning to chase down a target of 176 runs. During the conversation, he was seen limping during the match which caused worry among fans and experts. Apart from it, CSK’s reliable all-rounder Ben Stokes has not played in the past few matches due to medical reasons. Stokes had recently recovered from a knee injury and stated that he would not rush himself in the IPL as he wanted to preserve himself for the Ashes.

CSK CEO Kashi Viswanathan has provided some clarity on the situation, which has alleviated much of the uncertainty surrounding MS Dhoni’s injury. Vishwanathan acknowledged that Dhoni had been experiencing some knee trouble but he also stated that the captain had not communicated any intention of sitting out of future matches.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, Kashi Vishwanathan said, “It is true that he has an injury to his knee but he has not told us otherwise.”

Vishwanathan confirmed Dhoni’s presence while saying- “He will play.”
