IPL 2023: Why Ben Stokes And Jofra Archer Are Not Featuring In The CSK-MI Clash, Captain Dhoni and Rohit Give Reason

Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are facing each other in the 12th match of the Indian Premier League at Wankhede Stadium. In this match, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first. However, both the captains surprised the fans and experts with their team selection.

For Mumbai Indians, the star pacer from England Jofra Archer is not available for the team. While Chennai Super Kings will also miss the services of Ben Stokes. But why are these both players not playing for their respective teams?

Ben Stokes is not playing due to some injury issue as said by captain Dhoni. Talking about the unavailability of Stokes, captain cool said, “We have a few injury concerns, Stokes has an injury, and Moeen is not available. Ajinkya and Pretorius are playing. These are the two changes we have made.”

Rohit Sharma also talked about the reason Jofra Archer is not playing in this match. Hitman Sharma said,” Unfortunately we have got an injury, I would not call it an injury but it is just a precaution – Jofra is not playing, we have got the other guys. It is a great feeling to be back at the Wankhede. The crowds have always been loud, look forward to playing in front of our home crowd.”
