IPL 2023: Which Four Teams Will Qualify For The Playoffs? Aakash Chopra Presents A Clear Picture After The PBKS-LSG Clash

In the 38th match of the Indian Premier League, Lucknow Super Giants beat Punjab Kings by a huge margin of 56 runs. After this win, LSG jumped to the second spot in the IPL points table with 10 points in 8 matches.

The former Indian Cricketer Aakash Chopra has said that the points table of Indian Premier League 2023 is not going to change and the teams who are now holding their positions will retain their seat throughout the league matches.

Chopra expressed his opinion on his YouTube channel while analyzing LSG’s victory over PBKS, suggesting that the playoff positions for IPL 2023 may have already been determined.

While talking to his official youtube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “Lucknow has come to the second spot. So well done Lucknow. The top four you are seeing, it seems the table will remain like this only, you see fewer chances of too many changes there but then we shall find out.”

The former opening batsman commented that during the innings of Lucknow Super Giants, all of their batsmen were performing at their peak level of explosiveness, particularly after KL Rahul was granted a second chance early on.

Aakash Chopra said, “Rahul should have got out off the first ball. Atharva Taide dropped a very easy catch but after that, the hitting started. Rahul hit a six and then got out. Everyone kept hitting after that. First Kyle Mayers hit, then Ayush Badoni – who was sent up the order, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran.”

Marcus Stonis proved to be the highest run-getter for the Lucknow Super Giants team and scored 72 runs in 40 balls and smashed six fours and five sixes. Nicholas Pooran also showed good hands with the bat and just took 19 balls to score 45 runs with 7 fours and one six.
