IPL 2023: Virat Kohli’s Outshined The Klaasen’s Remarkable Hundred, RCB Beat SRH By 8 Wickets

In a do-or-die match for Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the 65th match of IPL 2023, thanks to Virat Kohli’s century. The South African batter Heinrich Klaasen also scored a century for SRH but it went in vain after Kohli’s masterclass. Bangalore won the toss and elected to field first in this match.

While batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of 186 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. The highest run-scorer for the team was wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen. He scored a splendid century where he scored 104 runs off 51 balls with the help of 8 fours and 6 sixes. He reached his century in just 49 balls, hitting a six off Harshal Patel’s delivery. Apart from him, Harry Brook contributed 27 runs off 19 balls with 2 fours and a six.

Michael Bracewell took the most wickets for Bangalore. He got 2 wickets. Mohammad Siraj, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Harshal Patel managed to take one wicket each.

Chasing the target of 187 runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team won the match by losing 2 wickets in 19.2 overs. The highest run-scorer for the team was Virat Kohli. Kohli scored a remarkable hundred and got 100 runs off 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes. He reached his century in 62 balls hitting a six off the fourth ball of Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s 18th over. This is his sixth century in the IPL.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T. Natarajan grabbed one wicket each for Hyderabad.
