Punjab Kings will face Delhi Capitals in the next match. Meanwhile, former Indian opener and now renowned commentator Aakash Chopra has suggested that Punjab Kings should play Sikandar Raza in their playing XI instead of Bhanuka Rajapaksa.
On Saturday, May 13, PBKS and Delhi Capitals will play against each other at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. If PBKS wins the match, they will have a better chance of qualifying for the playoffs, while a positive result for DC will give them a slight hope of making it to the playoffs.
While having a preview for the Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals game on his youtube channel, Aakash Chopra said,”Play Sikandar Raza if you can because there is no gain in playing Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Sikandar Raza at least brings some off-spin. I straightaway see three left-handers in the opposition team – David Warner, Rilee Rossouw and Axar Patel, and you don’t have an off-spinner in any case.”
The former KKR captain said that Punjab Kings can play Atharva Taide at no.3 in the batting lineup.
Aakash Chopra said,”Prabhsimran Singh with Shikhar Dhawan. You can even play Atharva Taide up the order. He also did well in the matches he played. Then Jitesh Sharma, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran – who is not having a great IPL.”
Chopra believes that Arshdeep Singh, who has been going through a rough patch will perform better in the match. He suggests that Punjab Kings may choose to play either Kagiso Rabada or Nathan Ellis as Arshdeep Singh partner in pace attack.
