IPL 2023: Rajasthan Royals Strength, Owner, Team, Captain, X-factors, And Full Squad

Rajasthan Royals (RR) management got nine players in the mini-auction that happened last year in December. They had a budget of ₹13.20 crore and were able to fill all their vacant seats while still having ₹3.35 crore left. RR was the first in the history of IPL and they will look to imitate the same this year under the captaincy of Sanju Samson. Manoj Badale is the owner of Rajasthan Royals, he has the majority of stakes along with several investors. Shilpa Shetty decided to sell their stake in the Indian Premier League team Rajasthan Royals in 2015. After the recent Supreme Court judgment holding his husband Kundra guilty of placing bets on IPL games.

Rajasthan Royals Performance In IPL 2022:
Rajasthan Royals played brilliantly under the captaincy of young Sanju Samson last year. In 2022, it was the first time since 2008 when the team arrived in the finale. However, they could not compete with the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans and fell short to win the title.

Strengths Of Rajasthan Royals:
England wicket-keeper batter Jos Buttler scored a whopping 863 runs in 17 matches including four centuries. Captain Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, and Yashasvi Jaiswal also have the same potential to win the match with their outstanding batting.

In bowling Yuzvendra Chahal, R Ashwin, and Trent Boult will take the responsibility to shatter the opposition’s batting lineup. Last year, Chahal had the Purple cap where he claimed 27 wickets in 17 games. RR has only one potential all-rounder in the name of Jason Holder and the team will love to keep him in their playing XI.

Weakness Of Rajasthan Royals:
Inconsistency is the main problem for Rajasthan Royals. Last year, Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetymer were the only batters who took all the responsibility of batting. Sanju Samson got some starts in many games but could not turn it into a big score. The management needs to settle the batting position of Devdutt Padikkal who once used to open the innings for RCB but RR does not have such a window for him. Riyan Parag is one such player whom RR management has backed the most but he is yet to deliver his best for the team.

X-factors For Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023:
Jason Holder could be the key factor for the team due to his bowling and batting possibilities. Jos Buttler will keep the batting team intact and Yuzvendra Chahal will look to imitate the same performance as last year.
