In the last edition, Mumbai Indians lacked sufficient quality in their fast bowling department, and they have made a conscious effort to address this weakness. While Jasprit Bumrah and Jofra Archer were retained, the team got Jason Behrendorff via trade and signed Jhye Richardson at the base price.
