Ahead of the World Test Championship finale, Team India has got a huge blow. The LSG skipper KL Rahul who suffered himself with an injury during the RCB-LSG clash is likely to miss the few upcoming games in IPL. The report suggests that Rahul injury is serious and BCCI is taking extra care of the Indian batter.

It is being said that the BCCI and the medical team of National Cricket Academy(Bangalore) will take the final decision on the future of KL Rahul. They will decide very soon if Rahul will be able to continue in the ongoing IPL or not.

On May 1st in Lucknow, during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the 31-year-old player suffered a hamstring injury while trying to stop a ball. He had to leave the field immediately due to severe pain. Later, he returned to the field only when the ninth wicket fell in order to bat. Unfortunately, despite his efforts, LSG was unable to chase down the target of 127 and lost the match by 18 runs.

Cricbuzz has reported that, Rahul will not be playing in their upcoming match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 3rd in Lucknow. Instead, Krunal Pandya who had taken over as captain after Rahul’s injury during the previous match against RCB is expected to continue leading the team against CSK as well.
