IPL 2023: Ishan Kishan Achieved Another Milestone In IPL, Joined Sachin-Rohit’s Special Club

In a thrilling Eliminator match of IPL 2023, the Mumbai Indians emerged victorious against the Lucknow Super Giants, securing their entry into Qualifier-2.

The team, led by Rohit Sharma, stands on the verge of reaching the finals with just one more hurdle to overcome. Qualifier-2 will be played between Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians on 26th May, which team will win the title battle with Chennai Super Kings.

During the match against Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians’ opener, Ishan Kishan, achieved a significant milestone. While his contribution to the match was limited to a 15-run knock of three boundaries, Kishan completed 2,000 runs in the IPL for Mumbai Indians.

With this achievement, he joins an exclusive club with legendary cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar and Rohit Sharma. Before Kishan, only Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu, Suryakumar Yadav, and Kieron Pollard had achieved this milestone for the team. Kishan’s IPL career statistics include 2,003 runs in 74 matches.

Ishan Kishan, a promising young talent in the world of cricket, has played a total of 90 IPL matches so far, accumulating an impressive tally of 2,324 runs. His consistent performances have been exemplified by 15 half-centuries, 220 fours and 103 sixes. In the current IPL season, Kishan has displayed exceptional form, amassing 454 runs in 15 matches. He has also registered three fifties, making him the second-highest run-scorer for Mumbai Indians this season, following the remarkable Suryakumar Yadav.
