Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has expressed his appreciation for Australian player Cameron Green and predicts that he will become the next major superstar in the cricket world. During the IPL auction, Mumbai Indians spent INR 17.50 crore to buy the young gun from Australia. Green is also performing according to his potential and he was the man of the match in the last match against SRH.
In the match against SRH, Cameron Green played a crucial role in helping his team get a staggering total of 192 runs in 20 overs. Against Hyderabad, many of the batters were struggling to perform but green unbeaten score of 64 runs off 40 deliveries kept MI in the game. In bowling as well he got one wicket and conceded only 29 runs in four overs. After the match, Irfan Pathan said that Green is improving with each passing day and he is one of the players to look out for.
While speaking to Star Sports, Pathan said,“Cameron Green is going to be the next superstar in world cricket. He’s a talented player and we are going to more of him because he is raising his game with every passing day.”
After losing the first two games, Mumbai Indians have won the three matches in a row. In the beginning of the tournament, MI got two major setbacks as after the exclusion of Jasprit Bumrah from the team, Jofra Archer is also not bowling for Mumbai. The England pacer is again facing some problem in his elbow.
After the match against SRH, Mumbai Indians got two valuable points and now they are sitting at 6th spot in the points table.
