IPL 2023: ‘I Have Not Come Here To Take Abuses’, Naveen ul Haq Unheared Message For Kohli In LSG Dressing Room

In the recent match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and LSG, the centre or attraction was the verbal fight between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. However, this altercation was not the first instance of tension between the two teams. This all started because of the Naveen ul Haq and Kohli staring moment to each other. Kohli and Naveen involved into a banter while LSG was chasing a target of 127 fund. He later confided his true feelings about the incident and Kohli to a teammate in the LSG dressing room.

The controversy began with Virat Kohli saying some words towards Naveen-ul-Haq, and then showing his shoe to him. This made the Afghan player extremely angry and compelled him to go against Kohli. The umpire and Amit Mishra who was batting with Naveen at the time quickly intervened. Meanwhile, Kohli also asked Amit Mishra to calm Naveen ul Haq.

After the match, Kohli and Naveen had a aggressive handshake. Naveen also uttered a few words to which Kohli did not say anything but the Afghan player continued to speak. This time Kohli did not control himself and replied him in a furious way. Glenn Maxwell then jumped and seperated the two players.

According to a report in Indian Express, Naveen ul Haq talked to LSG members and said,”I have come here to play in the IPL, not to take abuse from anyone.”

Naveen ul Haq also looked in angry mode and he posted a message on his instagram story where he wrote,”You get what you deserved that’s how it should be and that’s how it goes.”

BCCI took a strict action against these players. Gambhir and Kohli have been fined 100% of their match fees while Naveen ul Haq has been charged with 50% of his fees.
