IPL 2023: How CSK Inspired Hardik Pandya To Captain Gujarat Titans? The All-rounder Reveals Himself

The defending champions Gujarat Titans have been performing exceptionally well this season winning eight out of eleven matches and currently holding the top spot in the points table of IPL 2023. The Hardik Pandya team has been in great shape with all players delivering crucial performances when required. The success for the Gujarat Titans credit largely goes to Hardik Pandya’s brilliant captaincy skills.

In a recent interview, Hardik Pandya shared his perspective on the captaincy and compared the strategies of two successful IPL teams Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Pandya noted that while Mumbai had a strong team with talented players, Chennai made the most out of their available resources which he found more inspiring. He also aims to create a positive team environment where every player is encouraged to showcase their skills and abilities.

While having a chat with the former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa on Jio Cinema, Hardik Pandya said,“There are two kind of success you can get. One is get the bestest people possible from A to B which I feel MI had, those few years where we’ve won or have the best environment possible for you to win which has been a CSK type where no matters who players are they get the best out of them. That was more inspiring for me to not get the best players but to get the best environment and get this thing.”

Talking about their recent match, Gujarat Titans set an impressive target of 227/2 in 20 overs. The team began their innings with Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill and had a partnership of 142 runs for the first wicket in just 73 deliveries. Saha played a crucial role scoring 81 runs off 43 balls before getting dismissed. However, Gill continued his outstanding form and remained unbeaten on 94* off 51 balls to guide Gujarat to an imposing total.

Chasing down this huge target, Lucknow Super Giants could only reach 171/7. With this, Gujarat won the match by 56 runs.
