IPL 2023: Gujarat Titans Are Following The Path Of CSK And MI, Shaun Tait Surprising Statement For Hardik Pandya’s Team

In the 48th match of Indian Premier League, the defending champions Gujarat Titans had a convincing win against Rajasthan Royals. While bowling first, the Gujarat Titans team bundled them out on 118 runs and chased the target with 9 nine wickets in hand. The match was played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

After this win, the former Australian pacer Shaun Tait has some words of praise for Hardik Pandya and the team. He especially praised the skipper of the side who is doing exceptionally well in all three departments.

Tait said that Hardik Pandya’s performance against the Royals where he scored an unbeaten 39 runs off 15 balls, was a clear message of his potential. Tait feels that Gujarat could have won the game against the Royals in the 19th over, but captain Hardik Pandya played with an impressive strike rate of 260 and sealed the match in the 14th over only.

While talking to ESPNcricinfo, Shaun Tait said,”What Hardik did tonight was kind of a statement I suppose. Certainly, could have come in and nudged them around and got them over the line in the 19th over. I liked the way he went about that.”

The former Australian pacer said that it is a positive sign that he hasn’t made too many changes to their squad. He highlighted the importance of the opening partnership between Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill who scored a crucial 71 runs. After the victory in yesterday’s match, GT has reached the top position in the points table with 14 points while the Rajasthan Royals have dropped to the fourth position.

Tait further added,”When you’re not changing your team too often, that’s a good sign. When Mumbai was going through their dynasty, they didn’t change often. They kept it so simple. Guys bowling in the same spots, batting order tinkering when needed. Chennai does it well and this side looks like they’re on the same track.”
