IPL 2023: Delhi Capitals Release A Set Of Players, KKR Left Out Finch And Retains Hales

A Look At All The Latest Releases And Retention. Today is the last day for all the IPL teams to submit the list of their released and retained players and the news coming from Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals the team has released a set of known players before the mini-auction.

According to a source from ESPNcricinfo, Delhi Capitals have released Mandeep Singh, KS Bharat, New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, and Andhra batting allrounder Ashwin Hebbar. Not only this, but Delhi capitals will also miss the services of Shardul Thakur who has been traded to Kolkata Knight Riders. In IPL 2022, the capitals tried their all guns to reach the playoffs, however, they fell short and finished fifth in the points table. Apart from it, Kolkata Knight Riders are also not more interested in former Australian captain Aaron Finch. However, they have retained Alex Hales who played some solid knocks in the recently concluded ICC men’s T20 World Cup 2022. Before getting Shardul Thakur in trade, KKR also got Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the outstanding opener of Afghanistan for the next edition of IPL.

All the teams have to submit the list of their retained and released players by 5 PM on November 15. For the same, a mini-auction will happen on 23 December in Kochi.
