The coach of the Mumbai Indians, Mark Boucher, made a significant statement following the match, highlighting the outstanding leadership skills of Mumbai Indians’ captain, Rohit Sharma.

This is the first time since 2017 that Mumbai Indians have lost any match in the playoffs. The last time in 2017, Mumbai lost in the qualifier match against Pune Super Giants.

Gill’s blistering knock of 129 runs off just 60 balls included 7 boundaries and 10 massive sixes. With this incredible feat, he claimed the title of the highest run-scorer in IPL 2023, accumulating an impressive 851 runs in 16 matches. Gill’s extraordinary average of 60.79 and a remarkable strike rate of 156.43 have firmly established him as a force to be reckoned with in the tournament.
