IPL 2023: Check Out When MS Dhoni Will Play His Last Match, Dhoni Revealed After Winning The Match Against SRH

The 29th match of IPL 2023 was played at Chepauk on Friday. Chennai Super Kings faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (CSK vs. SRH) in the game. Chennai Super Kings performed well in this match and won the match by 7 wickets. Jadeja bowled his best, while Devon Conway scored an unbeaten half-century.

After this victory, Dhoni ended the speculation of his retirement from IPL. He made it clear that this IPL could be his last IPL. After winning the match, MS Dhoni said, “This is the last phase of my career; I am pleased to enjoy it. After two years, the fans got a chance to come to the ground. The fans have showered us with a lot of love and affection.”

Dhoni further said, “Didn’t get many batting opportunities, but I have no complaints. I was still deciding about the dew before deciding to bowl first. However, the bowlers did exceptionally well. They didn’t give me the best catch award. I still remember a match long ago Rahul Dravid was keeping, and he made one such catch. It was a great catch. No matter how old you get, you can’t escape it.”

Batting first in the match, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team could only manage 134 runs for seven wickets. Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja performed brilliantly and took three wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs. In response, Chennai Super Kings achieved the target for three wickets in 18.4 overs. Opener batsman Devon Conway remained unbeaten after scoring 77 runs off 57 balls. This is his third consecutive half-century. He hit 12 fours and a six in the innings. Jadeja also received the Player of the Match award.

It is known that on May 23 and 24, the match of Qualifier-1 and Eliminator is to be played at Chepauk ground. If CSK’s team stays in the top-4 in the table, then this could also be Dhoni’s last match on the field.

MS Dhoni speculated that IPL 2023 could be his last T20 tournament. Dhoni, who won the Indian Premier League title to Chennai Super Kings 4 times, has pointed this out again after the win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Dhoni retired from international cricket three years ago.
