The board of control for cricket in India(BCCI) has announced the schedule of the playoffs and final of IPL 2023. The dates for the playoffs and final are between 23rd May to 28th May and this time Chennai and Ahmedabad has got the responsibility to organise the most important part of IPL 2023.
Qualifier 1 will be played on 23rd may at Chennai whereas the eliminator will be organised at the same venue on May 24th. The Qualifier 2 which is basically the road to final will be played on May 26th in Ahmedabad and the decider of this world richest T20 league will be organised on 28th May in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium only.
Let us tell you that Like last year, this year as well, there are a total of 10 teams who are participating in the tournament. In this 2016 edition, IPL arrived in the home and away format after three years as it was badly hitted by Covid 19. In 2020 and 2021 it was played in UAE and then in 2022 it was played in India but only in Maharashtra.
Going down the memory lane, the newly entered Gujarat Titans won the tournament last year under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. Lucknow SuperGiants was another team which made into the playoffs of IPL 2023 under the leadership of KL Rahul.
