IOC Rebuked ICC Over Including Cricket In The 2028 Olympics

Another big disappointment for cricket fans. International Olympic Committee rejected the bid of the International Cricket Council to include cricket in the 2028 Olympics.

So finally, cricket will not be included in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games. This information is provided by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) looking into the matter of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to the report, the ICC has started preparations to form a New Olympics committee regarding cricket. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah will be seen leading this committee.

A total of 28 sports will be included in the Los Angeles Olympic Games to be held in 2028, but cricket hasn’t been selected in the list. But it has been confirmed that after 2028, the next Olympics will be held in Brisbane, Australia, in 2032. In the Olympics, Cricket could be included.

However, Athens held the Olympics for the first time in 1896. But then cricket was not included due to the non-availability of teams. Cricket was included in the Paris Olympics after 4 years, in which two teams were included. These teams were France and England.
