Big Blunder By Rohit Sharma During The Toss In The 2nd ODI Match Against New-Zeland

A big blunder was made by the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma during the toss of the 2nd ODI match against New Zealand. Match representative Ravi Shastri, the match referee Javagal Srinath and the skipper were present on the ground for the toss. Rohit Sharma flipped the coin, and visiting skipper Tom Latham called heads for the toss, but it came tails, and the Indian skipper won the toss.

Match referee Jagaval Shastri asked him what he would do first. Bat or Bowl?

After this, Rohit Sharma got confused and paused for 20 sec to answer the match referee. Rohit chose to bowl first, after which Rohit clarified that he forgot what he wanted to do because of plenty of discussion with a team about the toss.

The Indian team won the first encounter of the three ODI match series against New Zealand by 12 runs. Now Indian team is leading the series by 1-0, and in the second match host will try their best to clinch the series. And the visitors will show their best performance to level the series.

Rohit Sharma- I forgot what we wanted to do, had plenty of discussions with the team about the toss decision, just wanted to challenge ourselves under difficult conditions, but we’ll bowl first. Was a good test for us, knowing that the wicket will get better to bat on and that was the challenge in front of us. Bracewell batted well, but we bowled well in the end and won the game. There was a bit of dew during the practice sessions, but we’ve heard from the curator that it will not play a role on game days. We batted first in Hyderabad, we wanted to bowl first here, same team.
