India’s Playing 11 For The 2nd Test Is Out, Check Out Who Has Got Chance In Place Of Rahul and Jadeja

The second Test match of the 5-match Test series between India and England is scheduled to be held in Visakhapatnam on February 2nd, but before the start of this Test match, the condition of the Indian team seems to be deteriorating. Firstly, after losing the first match to the visiting team, the Indian team was already under pressure, and now, even before the start of the second match, two important players, KL Rahul, and Jadeja, are out of the team due to injuries, Indian middle order is looking very fragile.

In place of these two big players, the Indian selectors have given an opportunity to three young players in the team – Washington Sundar, Sarfaraz Khan, and Saurabh Kumar.

After the exclusion of KL Rahul and Jadeja from the team, there will be significant changes in the playing XI of the Indian team, and in this report, we will see who captain Rohit Sharma will give the chance in place of KL Rahul and Jadeja for the second Test.

Don Bradman from Ranji Trophy to get a chance in place of Rahul

After KL Rahul is ruled out of the 2nd test due to injury, the Indian middle order is looking very weak. Due to KL Rahul’s absence Indian team is totally dependent on out-of-form Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer and only relying on these two on such a turning track can prove very costly. With this weak middle order, Captain Rohit needs a player who has considerable experience playing on Indian soil and whose recent performance has been impressive. Therefore, Captain Rohit Sharma is considering giving Sarfaraz Khan a chance in place of KL Rahul, and if everything remains fine until the start of the match, Sarfaraz Khan is set to make his debut for the Indian team.

Sundar to get a chance in place of Jadeja

The Indian team suffered a major blow with Jadeja being ruled out due to a hamstring injury. However, finding a replacement for Jadeja is not easy, given his capabilities, but as an alternative to Jadeja, the Indian captain has a good option in the form of Sundar. Indian all-rounder has so far utilized the opportunities given to him, scoring 265 runs at an average of 66.25 and taking 6 wickets in 4 matches. Due to Sundar’s batting skills, Kuldeep will once again have to sit on the bench.

Iyer and Gil to get another chance

As experienced players like Rahul and Kohli are not available for selection for the 2nd test, the Indian captain will not make any changes with his regular players. Consequently, despite being out of form, both Iyer and Gill will secure their place.

India’s playing XI for the second Test:

Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gil, Sarfaraz Khan, Shreyas Iyer, Sundar, Bharat (wk), Ashwin, Axar, Bumrah, Siraj.
