‘Indian Superstars Used To Take Injection Before The Match’, Chetan Sharma Talked About Jasprit Bumrah Fitness

In a sting operation performed by Zee News on the BCCI Chairman of Selectors Chetan Sharma, the former Indian cricketer was caught claiming that certain players use injections that contain substances to improve their fitness that cannot be detected by a doping test.

The chief selector of the BCCI said, “Indian Cricket Team players take injections & get 100% fit even if they’re 80-85%% fit. These are not painkillers. These injections contain drugs which aren’t caught in the Dope Test.”

Sharma in his second term as the head selector of the Indian men’s cricket team also cited in the sting operation as claiming that cricketers consult their own physicians and have medicines injected into them to make them look fitter and pass the tests.

He continued by saying that certain players who are underperforming occasionally use the injections to stay healthy and competitive.

In addition, Chetan Sharma claimed that he and the team management had several opinions on whether Jasprit Bumrah should play in the T20I series against Australia in September after recovering from a stress fracture.
