India Star: The Epitome of Cricket “Freakishness” – Michael Clarke’s View

Team India’s star pace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, is all over the news. The bowler has been in the headlines for quite some time now after his match-winning performance for India in Vishakhapatnam in the second test against England.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up nine wickets in the match, claiming six wickets in the first innings, followed by three in the second innings, and won the man of the match award after such a phenomenal display of fast bowling.

After his impressive performance in the second test match, the pace sensation went on to become the number one test bowler, becoming the first Indian pacer to do so.

Speaking of Jasprit Bumrah, one of the greatest batsmen of the game, Michael Clarke hailed him as a” freak”. Bumrah swapped his position with his Indian teammate and veteran offspinner, Ravichandran Ashwin.

Bumrah now claims 881 rating points, the third highest for any Indian, as only Ashwin (901) and Ravindra Jadeja (879) lie ahead of Jasprit Bumrah.

In the second test match, the Indian blowers completely outplayed England’s Bazball strategy with their classy bowling, defeating them by a huge margin of 106 runs.

The series now stands at 1-1, with the third test match of the series being played in Rajkot on February 15.
