IND vs SL, 3rd ODI: India Becomes First Team To Achieve This Milestone In 52-Years Old ODI History

India won the last match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka by 317 runs thus creating history for the biggest margin of win in ODI history. India is the first-ever team to win an ODI match by 300+ runs.

India scored 390 runs at the loss of five wickets, thanks to outstanding hundreds by Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill. Kohli scored 166 runs in just 110 balls with the help of 13 fours and eight sixes. On the other hand, Gill smashed 116 runs in 97 balls.

Chasing the mammoth target of 391 runs, Sri Lanka looked puzzled against Mohammed Siraj who bagged four wickets in his kitty. The Sri Lankan batter did not look settle against the Indian pace attack and Mohammed Shami and chinaman Kuldeep Yadav also supported the team. Both the bowlers bagged 2 wickets each.

It was a clean sweep for Sri Lanka and Virat Kohli was adjudged by both man of the match and series.

Talking about India’s world record, the previous best belonged to New Zealand when they gained a 290-run win against Ireland back in 2008.
