In this match, while batting first, India set a huge target of 357 runs, which they made at the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs. While chasing the target of 358 runs, Sri Lanka lost their wickets at regular intervals and the team was bundled out on 55 runs in 19.4 overs. For them, Kasun Rajitha scored the highest 14 runs while Anjelo Mathews and Mahesh Theekshana got 12 runs each.
