IND vs ENG: Big Blow For Team India, Star Batter Ruled Out From The Third Test In Rajkot

Team India has got a huge blow before the third Test against England slated to be played from February 15, in Rajkot. One of the key batters of team India, KL Rahul won’t be available for the third Test against England in Rajkot.

When announcing the Karnataka batsman for the final three Test matches, the senior selection committee included a condition.

While announcing the team for the remaining three Tests of the five-match Test series, the BCCI stated,”the participation of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul is subject to fitness clearance from the BCCI medical team”.

According to a report by Indian Express, Rahul hasn’t attained full fitness, Jadeja has received clearance to participate in the pivotal third Test of the series, currently levelled at 1-1. The medical team has informed the selectors that they will monitor Rahul for an additional week before deciding on his availability.

Rahul remains at the NCA and hasn’t journeyed to Rajkot. The BCCI and Indian team management are optimistic about his recovery, aiming for his fitness by the fourth Test.

Rahul was initially sidelined for the second Test in Vizag due to complaints of right quadriceps pain, which surfaced during the first Test in Hyderabad.
