IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: Yashasvi Jaiswal Pops a Dreamy Double Hundred With 19 Fours And 7 Sixes, Registers Several Records

Young Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal is on a dream run. The star batter has once again proved his potential and scored a double century, his first in the longest format of the game. Jaiswal single-handedly took the lead of team India and got 209 runs in 290 balls.

In this inning, Jaiswal smashed 19 fours and seven sixes. During this knock, Jaiswal registered several records to his name.

In this game at Vizag, Jaiswal scored a double century, however, on the other side, no other Indian batter even got a fifty. Not only this, Jaiswal has become the third batter in Indian history to score a double century at a young age. Before him, Vindo Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar have achieved this feat.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has also joined an elite list and became the fifth Indian batter to score a double hundred in fewer innings. He achieved this feat in his 10th inning. Before him, Karun Nair did it in 3 innings, Vinod Kambli in 4 innings, Sunil Gavaskar and Mayank Agarwal in 8 innings, and Cheteshwar Pujara in 9 innings.

Not only this, Jaiswal completed his century with a six, and then for his double hundred he smashed a six and then a four to get this milestone.

India finished its first innings with 396 runs in 112 overs. Jaiswal got the maximum 209 runs. Talking about England’s bowling, Shoaib Bashir, Rehan Ahmed, and James Anderson got three wickets each, while Tom Hartley managed to get one.
