IND vs AUS, 4th Test: Mohammed Shami Likely To Join Indian Playing XI, Who Will Be Dropped?

India will take on Australia in the fourth test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy from 9th March. It will be too crucial for India to consider making the place in the finale of the ICC Test Championship. The last match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad and India is planning to bring their gun pacer Mohammed Shami into the playing XI.

Due to workload management, Shami had a break for the third Test, which was played in Indore and Umesh Yadav took his place. The medical staff of BCCI has asked the bowlers to give some rest who are in consideration for the upcoming T20 World Cup and play the IPL 2023 as well.

Shami, who is also part of the Indian squad for the ODI series against Australia was one break for the third Test and Umesh Yadav came into his place. Umesh had a brilliant time in Indore and in the first inning where the spinners were showing their dominance, Umesh Yadav got 3 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah is out from the IPL and upcoming tournaments and being the senior and most experienced bowler in the Indian bowling line up Mohammed Shami has to be very fit and healthy. Mohammed Siraj is also likely to be rested for the fourth Test in Ahmedabad and he will roll his fingers over the ball in the ODI series against the Aussies.
