In the 20th match of the Pakistan Super League between Lahore Qalandar and Multan Sultans, the West Indian powerful all-rounder created history to his name. Kieron Pollard scored 39 runs in 28 balls and achieved two huge milestones.
Pollard smashed three sixes and two fours during his 39 runs inning and he reached the mark of 800 sixes of his T20 career. Pollard became the second player in T20 history to smash 800 T20 Sixes, ahead of him is Chris Gayle who has 1056 sixes to his name.
The Former Mumbai Indians all-rounder also became the third batter in T20 history to score 12000 runs in the shortest format of the game. Here as well, Chris Gayle comes first and Shoaib Malik at second. Gayle has 14562 runs while the former Pakistan captain has 12515 T20 runs.
In this match, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a challenging total of 180 runs for Multans thanks to Sam Billings’s 54 runs. While chasing the target of 181 runs, Multan Sultan could only manage to get 159 runs and lost the match by 21 runs.
