IND vs AFG, 2nd T20I: Yashasvi Jaiswal And Shivam Dube Fire, India Chased 173 Runs In Just 15.4 Overs

In the second game of the three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, the men in blue beat the visitors by six wickets and sealed the series with a lead of 2-0.

In the match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl first. While batting first, Afghanistan posted a total of 172 runs at the loss of ten wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Afghanistan, Gulabdin Naib scored the maximum 57 runs in just 35 balls with the help of 5 fours and four sixes. In the death overs, Mujeeb-ur-Rahman smashed 21 runs in just nine balls and helped the team to reach a respective total.’

For India, Arshdeep Singh got three wickets, while Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi grabbed two wickets each. All-rounder Shivam Dube got one wicket in his kitty.

While chasing the target of 173 runs, India got a disappointing start and lost captain Rohit Sharma, who went to the pavilion without scoring any single run. Yashasvi Jaiswal then took the responsibility and scored 68 runs in just 34 balls which included five fours and six sixes. Virat Kohli(29) got off to a good start but failed to convert it into a big score. After him, Shivam Dube smashed 63 runs off just 32 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes and won the match in 15.4 overs.

For outstanding bowling of Axar Patel(4 overs, 17 runs, two wickets) was given the man of the match award.a
