ICC Announces Men’s ODI, Test And T20I Cricketer Of The Year, 2 Indians Included In The Winner’s List

ICC, widely known as the International Cricket Council, has come with its award desk for the top performers across all formats in 2023. The captain of the Australian cricket team, Pat Cummins was named the recipient of the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year for the year 2023.

Pat Cummins had exceptional performances with both the bat and ball, leading the team to significant achievements such as winning the ICC World Test Championship Final, retaining the Ashes, and securing a historic sixth triumph in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. Not only this, the bowling all-rounder from Australia also had a remarkable IPL auction where Sunrisers Hyderabad secured the services of this Aussie captain for INR 20.5 crore.

The star Indian batter Virat Kohli who is coming from an exceptional year in the 50-over format has been designated as the ICC ODI Cricketer of the year. He got 1389 runs last year at an average of 72.47 with six centuries to his name.

Usman Khawaja was announced as the ICC Men’s Test Cricketer of the Year for 2023, surpassing strong contenders like Travis Head, Ravichandran Ashwin, and England’s Joe Root. He accumulated a total of 1210 runs across 13 Test matches during the year.

Suryakumar Yadav from India has been crowned the ICC T20I Cricketer of the year. Yadav played 17 matches last year and got 733 runs with an average of 48.86. There his highest score has been 112*.
