ICC Announced Emerging Women’s Cricketer Of The Year 2022

International Cricket Council declared Renuka Singh, the winner of the ICC emerging player of the year 2022. ICC awarded her because of her outstanding performance in cricket. Let’s look at her exceptional performance throughout the year in different formats of cricket.

Renuka Singh beat some star performers of the previous year to get this award from ICC. She surpassed Australian Darcie Brown, England’s Alice Capsey, and her teammate Yastika Bhatia to win the ICC Emerging Women’s cricketer of the year award.

Renuka Singh bagged 18 ODI wickets at an average of 14.88 and an economy of 4.62 in the 7 ODIs matches. However, she has played 22 T20I matches this year, in which she scalped 22 wickets at an average of 23.95 and an economy of 6.50. Her best bowling figure was 4/10.

Her performance in the commonwealth games and in the Asia cup was outstanding. She took 17 wickets in the 11 matches at an economy of just 5.21.
