“I think it’s time…”Rishabh Pant’s Strong Message to DC Stars After Humiliation Against KKR

“We just did not turn up on the day.” These were the words of Rishabh Pant when he was asked about Delhi’s loss against KKR.
The Delhi Capitals suffered a heavy defeat against KKR by a huge margin of 106 runs. Delhi Capitals bowlers were treated mercilessly by KKR batters as they scored 272-7.

Speaking about the same in his post-match presentation, Rishabh Pant said,” “Our bowlers were all over the place. We just didn’t turn up on that day. Today was one of those days.”

Pant further added, “As a batting unit, we only wanted to keep going hard as a team. I would rather get all out as a team than not go for the target.”

Sunil Narine, who top scored for KKR, scored 85 of just 39 deliveries, which included seven boundaries and seven sixes. Narine got a life when Rishabh Pant failed to take a DRS on a close call.

Rishabh Pant said, “I think it was quite loud here. At the same time, I couldn’t see the timer on the screen. There was some problem on the screen. But there are some things you can control and some things you can’t.”

Speaking about his decision to give just a single over to Axar Patel, who went for 18 runs in his first over,.

Pant said, “See, the thought process was that we didn’t want to use spinners, but our fast bowlers were going through the motions. I think it is time for reflection as an individual. We need to learn from these mistakes and come out positive in the next match.”

Pant, who was out for more than a year due to a fetal car accident, has scored two conspicuous half centuries.

Speaking about his performance, Rishabh Pant said, “You are doing fine. Getting out there. Enjoying every day, but cricket has its own ups and downs.”
