“I think it’s been a great year for me, but missing out on the World Cup dampened the mood. But fortunately, we have another World Cup next year, so we are all looking forward to it,” Shubman told CNBC-TV 18.

Gill expresses enthusiasm about the upcoming Test series in South Africa and Australia, highlighting the importance of these contests in shaping his cricketing journey.

“In the next year, the World Cup is coming, a very important Test series coming up in Australia, and I think this year is not over yet; we have the Test series coming up in South Africa as well. I think the Test series in Australia and the South Africa series will be really big ones, and those are the matches I am looking forward to,” he added.

A new chapter unfolds for Shubman Gill as he takes on the captaincy role with the Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Gill sees this as an exciting challenge, envisioning personal growth through the experience.
