“I don’t understand what…” Rohit Sharma Slammed Broadcaster Over 3 year Gap In ODI Century Question

Indian team won the third and last encounter against New Zealand of the three-match ODI series at home, and with this win, the Indian team clinched the series by 3-0. After 12 years, Men in blue clean swept the kiwis at home under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Before this, in 2010, men in blue had done this charisma under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir.

In the third ODI against New Zealand in Indore, Indian captain Rohit Sharma smashed a century after approx three years in the ODIs format. He scored 101 off 85 balls, and this century came after January 2020. His innings lashed with 9 fours and 6 sixes.

After the match, when the Indian skipper was asked about the three-year gap between ODIs hundred, Rohit first didn’t understand the question, but after a few seconds, he furiously replied to the reporter.

“I don’t understand what you mean by my return. You are saying three years, out of which eight months we all were completely home due to Covid-19. Where were the matches happening? And in the last year, we have just played T20 cricket,” Rohit said.

Further, Rohit explained that he had played 12 or 13 ODIs in three years and that the broadcaster needed to publish the right things.

“Three years sounds a lot, but in that three years, I have played only 12 or 13 ODIs, if I am not wrong. I know it was shown on the broadcast, but sometimes we must also show the right things. Last year, we didn’t play ODI cricket; we focused on T20 cricket a lot. We should pay attention to such things; the broadcaster, too, needs to check these things.” Rohit had further added.

After this series, now Indian team will play three-match T20I series against Kiwis at home starting on 27th January in Ranchi.
