Pakistan has secured 7 wicket win against Bangladesh in the tri-nation series in New Zealand. Again Mohhamad Rizwan showed a brilliant performance and scored 69 runs, and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz played much needed blistering knock of 45 runs in just 20 balls, helped Green Army to chase down 174 run target easily.
In recent times, Pakistan has shown bizarre performances as they had won every league match in the Asia Cup 2022 but lost in the finals. However, they also lost the home series against England by 4-3. Currently, Pakistan has lost the match against New-Zealand in the ongoing tri-series. Experts and people of the Pakistan cricket fraternity are blaming their captain Babar Azam for the defeat.
Attending the press conference after a brilliant victory over Bangladesh, a journalist asked Babar about the criticism. He replied calmly, ” We always try to focus on ourselves, and every player is giving their 100% on the field; that only matters to us.
“I don’t know who you are talking about. These things happen even when we perform well. But we don’t bother, and we try to keep the team’s confidence and unity intact,” Babar said.
“We try to give our 100 percent and win. Sometimes, we are not up to the mark, but we discuss and plan about things where we can improve,” the Pakistani skipper further added
The decider match of the tri-series will be played on October 14 in Christchurch. Whereas they will play the opening encounter of the T20 World Cup against India on 23rd October.
