‘I Am Officially On The Road To Recovery Now’, KL Rahul Gives The First Message After His Successful Surgery

On May 9th, KL Rahul underwent successful surgery after sustaining a thigh injury while fielding against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1st. Unfortunately, this injury has ruled him out of both IPL 2023 and the World Test Championship (WTC) final. The batter has confirmed that he is now in the rehabilitation phase while sharing a post on his social media account.

Lucknow Super Giants captain will now look to make a strong comeback for the 2023 Asia Cup which is set to take place later this year.

While sharing a post on his official Instagram account, KL Rahul wrote,”Hi everyone, I just got done with my surgery– it was successful. A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went smoothly.”

He further added,“I’m officially on the road to recovery now. I’m determined to get back to my best and get back on the field. Onwards and upwards!”

In the absence of KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan has joined the Indian Squad for the final of the World Test Championship against Australia. On the other hand, Krunal Pandya is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants. The Lucknow team is currently in 4th position in the points table of IPL 2023.
