Team India’s star batter, Surya Kumar Yadav, was all praise for Richa Ghosh after her heroics for RCB in their match against the Delhi Capitals in the ongoing season of the WPL.
In yesterday’s match against Delhi Capitals, Richa Ghosh went all guns blazing, scoring 51 of just 29 deliveries. However, she could not win the match for RCB, as RCB lost the match by just 1 run.
After the match got over, India’s star batter, Surya Kumar Yadav, took to his Instagram account to praise young Richa Ghosh. Surya Kumar Yadav shared a picture of Richa Ghosh on his story with the caption “You are a star.”.
Having to chase the target of 182 RCB, they needed 17 runs to win in the final over of the match. Richa Ghosh started the over with a terrific six; however, bowler Jess Jonsson kept her nerves clam, bringing the target to 2 of 1 ball.
Jess Jonsson bowled the final delivery right on the money. Richa played the shot at a backward point and ran for a single.
However, she could not make it into the crease because of a brilliant throw from Shefali Verma.

Richa was heartbroken after RCB’s loss. She sat on the pitch with a huge disappointment. She was accompanied by Shreyanka Patil in the middle, who was also in tears. Richa was consoled by every player from the opposition.
