History Created By South Africa Team In The T20 World Cup, Final With Australia

South African team entered the final of the Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating England by six runs in the second semi-final match played on Friday. They will now face defending champions Australia in the title match on 24th February in Cape Town. Australia’s challenge will be in front of South Africa in the final, which will take a lot of work for them.

Batting first after winning the toss, South Africa scored 164 for four in 20 overs with the help of half-centuries from Tazmin Britz (68) and Laura Wolvaardt (53).

The England team could only manage 158 runs for eight wickets in the chase. South African pacers Ayabonga Khaka and Shabnim Ismail bagged 4 and 3 wickets, respectively. These two pacers have played vital roles with the ball in South Africa’s victory.

Wyatt scored 34 runs from 30 balls for England, and Ayabonga Khaka ended Wyatt’s innings. Nate Sciver Brunt scored 40 off 34 balls, and captain Heather Knight contributed 31 off 25 balls. But wickets falling quickly, the pressure mounted on England, and in between they had lost four wickets in eight runs, leaving them on the back foot. England needed 12 off the last over, and Knight was at the crease. However, Ismail bowled well during this, conceded only 6 runs in the last overs, and won the match by 6 runs.

Now, the South African team will face the all-mighty Australian team in the finals of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023. The Australian have won this title five times and are also the defending champions, so it will be a very tough round fight for the South African team. However, how the South African team lifted their performance is just outstanding, and it will not be a cakewalk for Australians. And cricket fans will definitely enjoy a thrilling final.
