” His removal of vice-captaincy…..” Rohit Sharma Explained Whether KL Rahul Will Be The Part Of Playing XI Or Not In The Third Test Match

The third match of the 4-match Test series between India and Australia starts from 1st March in Indore. Indian cricketer KL Rahul will play the third test match or not is the biggest topic of discussion between the cricket pundits because his performance in the recent wasn’t good enough to make the place in the team, and after the second test match, he was also removed from the vice-captaincy role.

But, before the third test match against Australia India skipper Rohit Sharma attended a press conference he made a big disclosure about Team India’s playing XI.

Speaking on KL Rahul’s place in the team for the third test match, Rohit Sharma has cleared the picture regarding whether KL Rahul will join Team India’s playing XI in the third Test match against Australia tomorrow in Indore. Rohit stated that removing him from the vice-captaincy role indicates nothing.

“I said it after the last game also. When a player going through a tough time, anyone with potential will be given enough time to prove himself. Being vice-captain or not being vice-captain doesn’t tell you anything. He was probably the senior most. His removal of vice-captaincy doesn’t indicate anything,” said the Indian skipper on Tuesday.

Shubhman Gill is waiting for his chance to play XI. His current sizzling form makes him a top contender as Rahul’s replacement. Cricket fans are feeling bad for Gill because the way he batted this year was overwhelming, and he looks very active in the practice session. Speaking on this, Rohit Sharma explained it is part of the routine; as a batter, you have to keep practicing hard. And also added, the playing XI will be declared only at the toss.

“As far as Gill and KL both are concerned, that is how they train and practice before any game. Today was an optional training session for the entire group. All 17-18 are in the reckoning. It’s not just about Gill and Rahul. But as far as our XI is concerned, we have not finalised it yet. I prefer it to be announced at the toss. Can’t count out last-minute injuries and all and we will keep it interesting for you guys as well,” Rohit added.

Before Rohit Sharma, Head coach Rahul Dravid also clarified that players like KL Rahul would be back by the team. His previous form of Rahul was outstanding, his splendid centuries on the overseas ground make him an extraordinary player and we hope he will return his record in the third test match.

Indian team is leading the series by 2-0, and they will try to win the third clash to clinch the four-test match series and clear the path to the World Test Championship final.
