His super hitting and accumulating 37 runs in just 16 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes at the strike rate of 231.25 has made him win the super striker award of the match.
Meanwhile, Sakshi Dhoni, the wife of superstar cricketer MS Dhoni has posted a funny message for the captain on his official Instagram handle. While Dhoni has won the award for the super striker of the match, Sakshi teases him and reminds her that the Chennai Super Kings have lost the game. In the same Instagram story, she also lauded the Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant for his comeback. Pant played a fiery knock of 51 runs off 32 balls against CSK in the same match.

In the 13th match of the IPL 2024, Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings by 20 runs at Vizag. With this win, Delhi Capitals have opened their account in the tournament after two back-to-back defeats.
Meanwhile, the fans at Vizag were once again mesmerized to see the vintage MS Dhoni back in action. The former Indian and CSK spinner, Dhoni who did not come to bat in the first two matches of this edition finally got a chance to showcase his batting prowess while chasing a huge target of 192 runs against DC.

Talking about the match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bat first. David Warner and Prithvi Shaw gave a flying start to DC and added 93 runs for the first wicket. Warner got out on 52 runs while Shaw scored 43 runs. The captain of the team Rishabh Pant also displayed his batting destruction and scored 51 runs in just 32 balls.
While chasing the target of 192, Chennai had a poor start and they kept on losing the wicket at regular intervals. Ajinkya Rahane was the highest scorer for the team with 45 runs. Daryl Mitchell also got 34 runs and then Dhoni at the end came with his 37-run innings.
