He has been contributing without…”CSK’S head Coach big statement on Daryl Mitchell’s poor form

CSK’s head coach, Stephen Flaming, has backed Daryl Mitchell to come good in upcoming matches of CSK in spite of his poor form with the bat. Daryl Mitchell was picked up by CSK in the auction at a whopping price of 14 crore but has not been able to leave a mark in this year’s IPL.

Daryl Mitchell so far has only scored 93 runs with the bat; however, ahead of the all-important clash against LSG, CSK’s head coach, Stephen Flaming, has backed Daryl Mitchell, saying that he has been contributing enough without giving any star performances.

Stephen Flaming said, “He has been contributing without giving star performances,” he said. “We like to back players a lot, and it is not always the man-of-the-match performance that we value the most.”

Flaming also spoke about Deepak Chahar’s inclusion in the lineup against Lucknow, as he has been constantly monitored by the medical team. Deepak Chahar was ruled out of the previous match against the Mumbai Indians due to a niggle..

Speaking about Deepak Chahar, Flaming said, “He is doing his rehabs well. It was a minor injury, nothing to worry about. Shardul Thakur bowled well in the last match against Mumbai, so we opted to give time to Chahar to recover well.”

CSK are set to play against Lucknow, and fans will hope that Daryl Mitchell will finally come to the party because of the belief shown by the team management.
